Charitable grants to help with the rising cost of living

If the rising cost of living means it’s difficult for you to make ends meet, you might find you can get a charitable grant. Check out what grants might be available to you on the charity website Turn2Us.

Grants are usually only available to people who can’t get benefits or housing support. But there are a wide range available aimed at a variety of different people – including the elderly, young, bereaved, unemployed and ill.

Examples of the diverse grants available include:

Friends of the Elderly

This charity provides grants to people over state pension age in England and Wales with a low income and savings of less than £4,000. Money is given for expenses such as adapting homes to help with mobility issues. But they also provide grants for unexpected bills and large expenses, including energy costs, funeral arrangements or moving fees.

The Vegetarian Charity

This charity offers grants to vegetarians and vegans under the age of 26 who need help paying for things like educational courses or essential items.

Family Action

This charity provides grants to people across the UK experiencing social isolation, disadvantage or poverty.

If you're not eligible for a charitable grant and you're struggling to manage the rising cost of living, we're here to help. You'll find lots of money-saving hints and tips here on our website, as well as details of the different ways you can get in touch.
