Free electricity over Christmas with E.ON Next and EDF
Two energy providers are spreading festive cheer by giving free electricity to their customers this Christmas.
EDF is giving away eight hours of free electricity on Christmas Day, while E.ON Next is offering three days of free power.
EDF's Christmas offer
By signing up for the December ‘Sunday saver challenge’, EDF customers will receive eight hours of free electricity from 8am to 4pm on 25 December.
Research shows Brits expect to spend around 10 hours using devices on Christmas Day, while families will rely heavily on lights and dishwashers.

One less thing to worry about
Both companies hope that their offers will give customers one less thing to worry about over the festive season.
Rich Hughes from EDF says: “The festive period can be a time of increased costs for us all, so we’re thrilled to give back to our customers and hopefully make electricity costs one less thing to worry about when it comes to Christmas Day.”
Julian Lennertz from E.ON Next added: “Many across the nation may be worried about making ends meet.
“This is the first time E.ON Next has offered three consecutive days of free electricity and I am thrilled we are able to do this for our customers at a special time of year.”
