Feed your kids for free this Christmas

There’s no two ways about it: Christmas is expensive. Especially when you factor in presents to buy, family to see, and keeping the kids entertained and well-fed while they’re off school for two weeks.

Thankfully, plenty of restaurants and cafes offer free (or cheap) kid’s meals during the Christmas school holidays.

To help, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best offers. Just make sure you check the terms and conditions before you go to avoid disappointment or unwanted costs. You can do this on their websites or check with the restaurant staff before ordering.

Here are all the places we’ve found:

Cafes

Morrisons: Spend £5 on an adult meal, and children aged 16 and under can get one free meal from the kids menu. Kids can also enjoy a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and a drink for £3.95 in the run-up to the big day.

Sainsbury’s Cafes: From 11:30 am every day, kids eat for £1 by purchasing an adult hot main.

ASDA: Kids eat free for £1 all day, every day with no adult spend required.

Pausa Café @ Dunelm: Kids get one mini main, two snacks and a drink for free with every £4 on adult food.

IKEA: Kids can get a meal from 95p daily from 11 am.

Dobbies Garden Centre: Kids get a free breakfast when an adult buys a traditional or full breakfast. A child’s hot meal or pick-n-mix lunch box is also available with any adult dining.

Restaurants

Beefeater & Brewers Fayre: Two children under 16 get a complimentary breakfast with one paying adult.

Brewdog: Kids eat for free with the purchase of an adult main meal this Twixmas and early January. This offer is only valid when pre-booked under ‘kids eat free’.

The Real Greek: Kids eat free on Sundays with every £10 spent on an adult meal.

Banana Tree: Free kid's meal available every Sunday with a paying adult.

Travelodge & Premier Inn: Up to two children aged 15 and under can eat for free with a full-paying adult.

Sizzling Pubs: Kids eat for £1 every Monday through Friday from 3 pm when an adult buys a main meal. During the Christmas half-term, this offer is also available from 12pm. You can even feed the whole family for under £15.

Angus Steakhouse: Under 8s eat for free between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

TGI Fridays: Kids eat free all day when you order an adult main. This offer is available to new and existing Stripes Rewards Members.

Preto: Kids up to age 10 and under eat for free all day, every day when accompanied by a paying adult. Download a voucher from the Preto website and show it to a member of staff to redeem the offer.

Pizza Hut: Kids under the age of 12 eat for free every day until 3 pm.

Yo! Sushi: From 29 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, kids eat free with every £10 spent by an accompanying adult.

Gordon Ramsey Restaurants: Kids can get a free main course from the Ramsay kids menu with every adult meal purchased from the A la Carte menu. Children can also add a dessert for £3.50.

Franco Manco: At selected Franco Manco restaurants, under-12s get a free pizza when an adult orders a main meal.

Bella Italia: On Thursdays, children aged 2-11 can enjoy three delicious courses and a drink for free, and from Sunday to Wednesday, it's just £1.

Whitbread Inns: Two kids under 16 can eat for free with every adult breakfast purchased.

Table Table: Two kids under 16 eat for free with every adult breakfast purchased. This offer is available from 23 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.

Hungry Horse: Kids eat for £1 on Mondays during the Christmas holidays when an adult orders a main meal.

Future Inns: Under 5 eat for free with any adult meal, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The offer is also available at its Heathrow Airport restaurant during the festive period from 20 December 2024 until 5 January 2025.
