What is the Ask for Ellen initiative?
To lend a helping hand Britain’s largest bakery brand, Warburtons, has teamed up with Morrisons to offer free crumpets over school holidays.
The ‘Ask for Ellen’ giveaways aim to help alleviate holiday hunger and ease the additional financial strain on parents when children aren't in school.
The initiative is named after Warburtons’ founder, Ellen Warburton. The fifth-generation family business has been passionate about supporting charities since it was established in 1876 and continues to do so today, through the Warburtons Foundation.
Morrisons continues to provide its Kids Eat Free promotion all day, every day meaning families can receive a free kids meal when purchasing an adult meal costing £4.50 or more.
