Get free food from Morrisons over the next two weeks
A number of free food schemes are running until 14 July at Morrisons, including the return of ‘Ask for Henry’, free children’s meals and free doughnuts.
Ask for Henry
The supermarket is bringing back the ‘Ask for Henry’ scheme, where anyone who ‘asks for Henry’ gets a free jacket potato with Heinz Cheesy Beanz.
“Anyone who feels they need a warming meal” is encouraged to head to their local Morrisons cafe, according to Heinz director of meals and insights, Alessandra de Dreuille.
Morrisons and Heinz partnered for the first ‘Ask for Henry’ scheme in 2022, before bringing it back the following year.
Chris Strong, Morrisons cafe senior buying manager, said he was “really pleased” to be bringing the initiative back.
“Customers continue to tell us how grateful they were for our previous ‘Ask for Henry’ initiatives,” he said.
“We know that the busy summer months can add to customers’ financial pressures, especially with extra mouths to feed, so we’re pleased to be partnering with Heinz and offering this delicious meal.”
Do-nut miss out
On top of this, anyone who buys a hot drink at Morrisons cafes will get a free jam doughnut over the next couple of weeks. The popular baked good is being given away in honour of the supermarket’s 125th anniversary. Hot drinks include tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Kids eat free deal
Don’t forget families can always make use of the kids eat free deal – which means children get a free meal when you buy an adult meal worth at least £5. It runs every day at Morrisons cafes.
Kids can pick between chicken nuggets, chips and beans, bangers and mash, or mac ’n’ cheese, which usually cost £3.50 each.
